Act No-Show Guarantee

The Act “No-Show Guarantee”, creates a positive and professional impression of your Act, giving Bookers the confidence to book you. Acts that achieve No-Show status have the “No-Show Guarantee” icon included on their Public Profile and any search results they appear in. It covers the Booker in the events such as you failing to show up for the event, showing up too late to perform, or canceling without giving sufficient notice.

Where this happens, we will endeavour to get a suitable replacement Act for the event. Should this not be possible, we will pay a compensation fee to the Booker to help cover any inconveniences experienced.

Earning "No-Show Guarantee" Status?

In order to achieve “No-Show Guarantee” status for your Act, you must achieve the following criteria:

  • Have received a minimum of 15 Ratings & Reviews
  • Receive at least 1 Rating & Review each month
  • Maintain “Overall” & “Professional” ratings of at least 7.5 at all times
  • Have received at least 5 genuine paid bookings via the system
  • Receive at least 1 booking each month
  • GizaGig not to have incurred any previous payouts against the Act or its Members

Alternatively you can lodge a deposit with the system to cover any “No-Show” claims that may be lodged against you, and receive “No-Show Guarantee” status immediately. Then once you achieve No-Show status organically, the amount (less any claims) will be refunded to you.


How are Claims Made?

A Booker can lodge a claim via the system within 72hrs of the intended event start time. They will be asked to outline why they are lodging the claim, and provide any evidence they may have to back it up. We will then contact the Act, outlining the Bookers claim, allowing them 3 working days in which to respond. Where they accept the claim or fail to respond, payment will be made to the Booker. Where the Act disputes the claim, they will be asked to provide evidence such as photos and videos to back-up their counter-claim. GizaGig Admin will then adjudicate, providing a final decision on the claim.

How Much is Paid Out?

The amount paid to depends on the event type:

  • Pub Gig: 8.9% of fee, up to €100
  • Private Function: 12.5% of fee, up to €250
  • Wedding Ceremony: 12.5% of fee, up to €100
  • Wedding Before/Afters: 12.5% of fee, up to €100
  • Wedding Reception: 15% of fee, up to €250
  • Corporate Function: 15% of fee, up to €250

Who Pays?

Claims are paid by GizaGig.

What Happens Next?

If an Act loses a claim, they have the option to refund the claim amount to GizaGig. In this case there will be minimum adverse effects to the Acts’ “Overall” and “Professional” ratings. Where a refund is not made, the system applies a reduction to those ratings, or in extreme cases suspension from the system.
